SOLARGY, as the name suggests has been derived from Solar Energy, with an objective of harnessing the abundant raw solar energy and converting it into usable electric energy. It is a young and dynamic organization committed to make the general masses aware of this eco-friendly, non-conventional source of energy, its applications, advantages and promote its various products & devices. It also envisages encouraging the masses for a gradual shift from conventional to non conventional sources of energy.

Electricity has become extremely expensive, yet not even 40% of the total requirement is being met, presently. As this scenario will get worse in future, SOLARGY has initiated steps towards creating awareness for alternate or non-conventional energy sources.

As we all know, conventional source of energy e.g. electricity is becoming dearer day by day. In fact, the existing infrastructure of conventional source of generating electricity is not able to cope up with increasing demand.

Astonishingly, there are 23,401 villages in our country that have been identified as areas where electricity infrastructure cannot be provided or non-electrified areas, due to the geological and environmental constraints. The per-capita consumption of electricity by an India citizen is about 22 times (1/22) less than that of a U.S. citizen. Still there is a power shortage of about 60% in India . In peak months or summer season, this shortage increases up to 80% resulting in power-cuts causing public inconvenience besides harming economic growth.

In future, the availability of electricity is bound to worsen due to a few facts:

•  The Geometrical growth of population would require likewise growth in demand of electricity.

•  The increasing usage and dependence on hi-tech. electronics, electrical devices, etc. would result in an increasing per capita requirement.

•  The inflammatory prices of the scarce and depleting fossil fuels would make them out of the common person's reach.

Therefore, keeping these factors in view it is crucial to give utmost importance to finding alternate/ non-conventional sources of energy, which can shoulder the rising burden on existing power infrastructure and lead to a gradual shift from conventional to alternate or non-conventional source of energy generation.

Most regions of India have approx. 300 clear sunny days, it equates to generating 5 lakh Crore KWh/year: - much more than the total energy consumption of country in a year. This energy source is a God's gift to the world provided we make fruitful use of it.
